Guardian of Light: The Tale of St. Joseph

In ancient scrolls, the tale is told,

Of Joseph, righteous, brave, and bold.

To him, a message came one night,

In dreams, divine, with holy light.

Mary, his betrothed, was found,

With child, her womb with life abound.

Yet Joseph, just, his heart perplexed,

To spare her shame, he had them vexed.

But in the silence of the night,

An angel came, all fears took flight.

“Joseph, son of David, fear not,” it said,

“For Mary carries a child heaven-fed.

"Take her as your wife," the angel proclaimed,

For in her womb, God’s Son is named.

Jesus, the Savior, shall be His name,

To save His people from sin’s dark claim.

And so, with faith, Joseph arose,

Took Mary home, despite the throes.

He guarded her with tender care,

In humble love, they formed a pair.

When Magi came from distant lands,

Guided by stars and God’s commands,

Joseph, protector, stood by their side,

In Bethlehem, where He would abide.

But danger loomed with Herod’s ire,

To Egypt's refuge, they must retire.

With courage, Joseph led the way,

Guarding the Child, come what may.

In Nazareth’s quiet, they found their rest,

Fulfilling prophecies, divinely blessed.

Joseph, obedient, in dreams he heard,

Guided by angels, with every word.

Though silent in the Gospel's prose,

His presence felt, his stature rose.

In humble service, he found his worth,

A beacon of faith, throughout the earth.
