Echoes of Faith
In ancient scrolls, the tale unfolds,
Of Maundy Thursday, as time beholds.
Old Testament whispers, a story grand,
Of Passover lamb, on Egypt's sand.
Through parted seas, people freed,
From Pharaoh's grasp, their chains unheed.
In Exodus' song, a promise found,
Of liberation's light, forever profound.
New Testament pages, a sacred dance,
Christ breaks bread, in a divine romance.
In upper chambers, disciples gather,
As love's communion, like flowing water.
With basin and towel, humility's sign,
Christ washes feet, hearts intertwine.
A covenant new, in bread and wine,
In holy union, His love enshrined.
Amidst this narrative, a Kerala tale,
Of Pesaha Appam, where hearts prevail.
Catholic tradition, in Kerala's embrace,
Brings harmony, in faith's sacred space.
Families gather, in solemnity's grace,
Sharing Pesaha Appam, in time and place.
Bonds are strengthened, divisions fade,
In unity's embrace, love is made.
Across the ages, the message rings clear,
Of redemption's promise, drawing near.
From Old Testament echoes, to New Testament light,
Maundy Thursday's story, forever bright.
